Special Characters non-alpha numberic

Issue Description

Non-alphanumeric content is used for visual styling, such as a dot character as a separator, and the screen reader will announce the character name, though not necessarily appropriately.

Recommendation

If the meaning that non-alphanumeric content presents visually is important, but announced incorrectly, add an ARIA label to force the character to announce properly. If the meaning is not important, and does not need to be announced, use ARIA to hide the characters from assistive technology.
